Morocco Extends eVisa Service to UAE Residents
All foreign nationals with a UAE residence permit seeking to enter Morocco for tourism or business purposes can now apply for eVisas through Morocco’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Expatriate online platform, Access Maroc.
Applicants can use the platform to apply for an eVisa for tourism or business stays of up to 30 days. UAE nationals - as opposed to UAE residents - can enter Morocco without a visa for tourism or business stays of up to 90 days.
The Moroccan government originally launched the platform in 2022 to digitalize and streamline the visa application process for select nationalities.
To be eligible to use the online platform, UAE residents must have:
- A valid Emirates identity card;
- A UAE residence permit valid for at least 180 days from the date the eVisa is submitted; and
- A passport valid for at least 90 days from date the eVisa is submitted.
Applicants can choose a standard application package costing approximately USD 77 with a three business day turnaround, or opt for the express one business day application package which costs approximately USD 110.
