Namibia Visa-on-Arrival

Updated October 2, 2025: The Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security has added 36 new nationalities as eligible for the online visa-on-arrival program.

March 4, 2025: The Namibia Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security (MHISS) officially launched an online Visa-on-Arrival (VoA) program on March 3, 2025, for countries that do not have a reciprocal visa agreement with Namibia.

Eligible applicants will be able to access and apply for an online VoA starting April 1, 2025. Travelers can also choose to submit their VoA application at a Namibian consular post, or upon arrival at a designated port of entry. Regardless of the application method, applicants must provide a valid passport, motivation letter, confirmation of sufficient funds (bank statement), confirmation of accommodation, travel booking in Namibia and medical insurance.

The VoA fee costs NAD 1,600 for non-African travelers and NAD 1,200 for African travelers. Currently, Namibia has visa exemptions for an estimated 55 countries, of which 18 have a reciprocal visa agreement with Namibia. This proposed visa regime aims to encourage reciprocity between Namibia and those countries and increase the country’s revenue.
