Mexico e-Visa Reinstated for Brazilian Nationals

Mexico has reintroduced the electronic Visitor Visa (e‑Visa) for Brazilian nationals arriving by air for business or tourism, effective February 5, 2026.

Nationals of Brazil entering Mexico by land or sea must continue to secure a consular Visitor Visa, which may require one to 20 days for issuance, depending on the consular office.

Individuals holding a valid consular Visitor Visa issued before February 5, 2026, may continue to use that document for air travel until the date of expiration.

Both entry documents generally authorize stays of up to 180 days per visit.

The renewed e‑Visa option enhances the efficiency of air travel procedures and reflects ongoing bilateral efforts by Mexico and Brazil to advance digital entry systems and pursue longer‑term visa policy alignment.
